The half-needle bit has only one lower branch and its shape is a little flatter, spoon-shaped. The principle is the same however, namely to provide increased lateral action when the direct rein is used to turn, and to prevent the bit from being pulled through the horse's mouth. VS

The precise angles of the bit are designed to relieve pressure on the bar and tongue of sensitive horses, encouraging them to find a gentler contact. The rubber material was chosen for more responsive mouths.

There are two options: a soft rubber for very sensitive mouths and a firmer rubber for the horse who desires a more solid feel in the mouth.
