Harpagophytum is the reference plant in the treatment of arthritic pain in horses. Harpagophytum participates in the maintenance of joints and helps reduce joint stiffness.

Harpagophytum, a plant that naturally soothes the horse's joints:

Harpagophytum procumbens or devil's claw, source of harpagoside, is the reference plant in the management of sensitive joints in horses. Several scientific studies carried out in humans have shown that harpagophytum is effective in reducing pain caused by osteoarthritis.
Harpagophytum root is recommended to provide comfort and flexibility to the joints of sensitive horses, especially old horses.

What to combine harpagophytum with?

In order to reinforce the action of harpagophytum, it is possible to supplement with a chondroprotector such as MSM, a source of bioavailable sulfur, known for its benefits during inflammation of connective tissues.
In horses with sensitive stomachs, harpagophytum can be replaced by Boswellia serrata or Meadowsweet as a pure plant.
