The Artichoke is a perennial plant native to southern Europe and cultivated in all market gardens. The artichoke does not exist in the wild.
Artichoke is a recognized natural drainer. Contributes to the proper functioning of the liver and kidneys. Source of fiber and antioxidants. Components: phenolic acids, flavonoids, some bitter principles, malic, lactic, fumaric and citric acid.
Artichoke , the reference plant for the horse's liver:
Artichoke supports the production and evacuation of bile thanks to the cynarin it contains and which is concentrated in its leaves. By stimulating bile secretion by the liver, it has interesting depurative and diuretic properties. Artichoke also has a draining action on the kidneys and facilitates the elimination of sugars and fats. Furthermore, artichoke fibers facilitate digestion and intestinal transit.
The artichoke can be used if the ration is too rich or when putting it out to grass in the spring.
What to combine the Artichoke with?
For a reinforced action on the kidneys, combine artichoke with dandelion or nettle.
To reinforce its detox action, combine with milk thistle seed, a source of sylibin, also has a protective action on the liver.
In case of significant need, favor the distribution of detoxmi x unique blend of 8 plants with draining and detoxifying properties.
